Lifting Compacted Ground
- Over 250 lbs of lifting force (on average) is used to remove 4 of our spikes from compacted ground. In a 100 square feet area, our Patent Pending tool will exert over 35,000 lbs of upward force to remove the 6" spikes, leaving 575 or so 1" diameter holes. This will lift soil in treated areas, immediately reversing severe compaction.
- Each hole that is created has a volume of about 2.32 cubic inches. 575 of these holes in a 100 sq. ft. area creates 1,334 cubic inches of holes. One cubic foot is 1,728 cubic inches.
Soil Amendment(s)
- This is where regular lawn aeration stops and sports fields and golf courses take it to the next level.
- If you create aeration holes and don't add amendments (calcined clay, peat moss, top soil, etc.), the composition of your soil will not change.
- Using calcined clay, which absorbs water and will not compact, creates semi-permanent aeration channels to allow water and nutrients deep into the soil. This helps with muddy soil by absorbing water and stabilizing squishy clay.
